First off just know if you are not good at roleplaying or are not used to roleplaying, you will not be looked down upon as long as you try to improve every time you do one.
Roleplaying is what drives the core of NCW. Without storylines, we can't move forward. Fueds and good stories are really where most of the enjoyment comes in at. There are a few guidelines you should follow when RPing, and here is where you will find them.
1. General Roleplaying
General Roleplays is what most will be doing. These are basically just normal Roleplays and can be done at any time. We have two boards for Roleplays (Live Wire and the PPV), each with sub-boards within them with locations where you can Roleplay.
In Ring - All Roleplays that are done in the ring, are done here.
Backstage -All backstage Roleplays are done here. This is includes the Lockerroom area.
Anywhere - Use your imagination on this board, Roleplays can pretty much be done anywhere outside the arena, so where ever you'd like them to happen, this is the place for it to be done.
2. End Match Roleplay
At the end of every match, 1 participant from the match must do a end match roleplay. In this roleplay, you basically describe how the match went down in detail, how it ended, and then any aftermath that may have followed. Other superstars are welcome to reply as well.
If your match is the last on the card, your also able to close the show. So at the end of the roleplay would explain that the show is over.
3. TBC and OOC
TBC means To Be Continued, you use this at the end of roleplays that you would like to be followed up by a specific person. So at the end of the Roleplay you would put TBC: Matt , if you want Matt to be the only one to reply to that Roleplay.
OOC means Out of Character. Basically if you have something you'd like to say out of character, put this, then say what you need to say. Everything in the roleplay area that is looked at, is looked at as in-character, so be sure to put this if there is something you need to say out of character.
4. Roleplay Tools
Roleplay Tools are basically characters that are used just for that, Roleplays. They are characters not played in-game, and not used by anyone, but just used by you for your roleplays, such as managers and valet. They do not count as characters so your 2(maybe 3) character limit will not be effected. All we ask is you put in your sig who your RP Tool is.
5. UBBC codes
Color is always easier to read in Roleplays. We ask that you seperate who is talking by either using Color, Italics, or Bold. You can easily do this by highlighting what you wrote, then select from the buttons above the message window. the B is Bold, the slanted I is italics, and if you wish to use color, highlight the text then while its highlighted select a color from the drop down box.
Bold. Italics Color
You can also use UBBC to put in Youtube videos. To do this grab a URL to any Youtube video.
www.youtube.com/watch?v=qf-19iYOhlw
Take the ending of that, everything after the =
qf-19iYOhlw
Hightlight it and click the Tube button, when you preview it, it should look like this.
You can also use Daily Motion, since Daily Motion is not a strict with copyrights on music, it may appear much more often here in NCW. TO embed a Daily Motion video, follow the same method of the Youtube.
www.dailymotion.com/video/x4yxwd_wwe-edge-theme-song_shortfilms
Say thats your link, you take everything after the video/
Highlight it, then click the Dm button.
This should be your result.

6. What Not To Do
* Take control of another persons superstar without asking. If you need to use another person whom you do not control, please ask that person if you may use them. Tell them what you will be using their character for, as they may not want their character to be put to shame or anything of that nature. If you are bringing in a superstar that is simply going to be used as a RP tool that you are going to put out of action or something to further your character thats fine. As long as noone controls them.
*No Killing or doing Horrible amounts of damage. Yes you can have a intense beatdown, you can put someone out that wants to be put out if they ask you to cause they are going on vacation. But do not do a roleplay where you damn near cripple a person for no reason, it's just not real. Although we do have things done that wouldn't normally happen, we don't want near deaths unless a admin is told about where the storyline is headed and is accepted.
*No attacking staff in roleplays unless you ask a admin if you can. We don't want staff being put out unless you tell a admin its for a purpose. We would have to find a replacement character for that staff character which is somewhat of a pain since every member would need to know of this change and adjust to that change.
*Realism. Its not a enforced rule, but we know you know what is believable and what is not. Try to at least make it a tad believable.
*Titles. Don't just run out to the ring and demand a world title shot. Cause you likely won't get it. Roleplay into a storyline, show that your reliable with completing matches on time. You will get a title shot in no time, believe me, admins talk about these things.
Thats pretty much it for Roleplay Guidelines and Rules. If you need any help with getting started with Roleplays, you can always PM any admin at the top of the page (next to the news) and ask. You can also have user Natural Disaster critique your Roleplay and let you know what he thinks you should work on, what your doing well and give some helpful tips.
